Dream It Be It

Partnering with Girls on the Run, we were able to incorporate elements of Soroptimist’s Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls curriculum. This program is designed to empower girls by providing them with the tools, confidence, and guidance they need to set goals, pursue their education, and ultimately achieve their career aspirations.

Welcome To Our Club

Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley (SIBBV) is a nonprofit women’s service club and part of a global volunteer organization with special consultative status at the United Nations. Our mission is to enhance the lives of women, girls, and youth in our community and throughout the world.

Chartered in 1979, SIBBV members have dedicated their time and efforts primarily to meeting the needs of our local community. Over the past twelve years, our fundraising efforts have allowed us to contribute well over $1,000,000 to programs and projects that improve the lives of Big Bear residents.

Between 2010 and 2025, we distributed the following funds:

$127,500 – Student Education Awards
$36,000 – Live Your Dream Award Recipients
$120,050 – Community Grants
$115,347 – Women’s Health Programs
$440,712 – Childcare / Beyond the Bell Program
$295,000 – Student Assistance Program
