BEYOND THE BELL (Before and after child care for elementary school children.)

For over 30 years Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley has been offering a low cost before and after school Child Care program for elementary school children, grades K thru 5th. The program has been a cooperative agreement between Bear Valley Parks and Recreation (BVRPD), Bear Valley Unified School District and our local Soroptimist club. BVRPD manages the program and Soroptimist offer scholarships for qualifying low-income families. Currently the program, called “Beyond The Bell,” is located at Baldwin Lane Elementary School. Children attending North Shore Elementary School are provided busing from North Shore to the Baldwin Lane facility for care. Beyond The Bell program also offers a day camp during school vacations.
