For more than 40 years, Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley (SIBBV) has proudly supported local high school graduates through our Education Awards program. This program reflects our club’s long-standing commitment to education and to providing resources and opportunities that help women and girls reach their full potential and live their dreams.

Each spring, graduating students planning to attend college or trade school are invited to apply. Applications are thoughtfully reviewed by our Club’s Awards Committee, and recipients are selected based on merit, achievement, and their dedication to pursuing higher education.

From 2010 through 2025 alone, Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley awarded a total of $146,250 in Education Awards to graduating students in our community. These scholarships represent more than financial support—they are an investment in the futures of young women and in the continued strength and vitality of our community.
