For over 40 years Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley (SIBBV) has been awarding scholarships to local High School graduates. Our scholarship program reflects our club’s commitment to education and providing resources and opportunities for women and girls to reach their full potential and to live their dreams. Every spring, we receive applications from students planning on attending college or trade schools. Our Club’s Scholarship Committee reviews the applications and then selects recipients. With the generosity of both the Soroptimist’s and the Community who supports our fundraising efforts, we have been able to provide as many as ten young high school graduates a year with awards of up to $1,000 each.

Scholarships are primarily funded with monies received from our annual fundraisers and donors. Over $100,000 in scholarships have been awarded since 2010.
